1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sanctus, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Sanctus is a Catholic prayer and AI companion app that provides:

• Daily Mass readings based on the Roman Rite liturgical calendar
• AI-powered faith guidance through our Lumen assistant
• iOS home screen and lock screen widgets for daily readings
• Prayer journal for personal devotional use
• Catholic devotional content including Rosary guides and saint information

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Plan: Sanctus offers a free plan that includes access to daily Mass readings, limited AI chat (5 messages per day), and basic widget themes.

Premium Plan: Premium subscriptions unlock unlimited AI chat, all widget themes, and unlimited Prayer Journal entries. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

Current pricing is displayed in the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

4. AI Content Disclaimer

Sanctus uses artificial intelligence (Lumen) to provide faith guidance and answer questions about Catholicism. Please be aware that:

• AI responses are intended for informational and devotional purposes only and do not constitute official Catholic teaching, pastoral advice, or spiritual direction.
• Lumen's responses are aligned with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but AI systems can make errors.
• For serious matters of faith, morality, or pastoral care, please consult a qualified priest or Catholic pastoral advisor.
• AI responses do not replace the Sacrament of Confession or other sacraments of the Catholic Church.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sanctus to:

• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions
• Use the AI in ways that violate Catholic teaching or promote harmful content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

Sanctus and its content, features, and functionality are owned by OpenClaw and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Scripture quotations from the New American Bible (NAB) are used in accordance with applicable licensing. The Catechism of the Catholic Church content is used for educational and devotional purposes.

7. Privacy

Your use of Sanctus is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sanctus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI responses will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenClaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Sanctus.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Sanctus after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Sanctus at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
